Newport Rotary Charitable Foundation

In 1990 The Newport Rotary Charitable Foundation (the Trust) was established to allow for charitable giving of individuals, namely Newport Rotarians, and to allow for the accumulation of assets in order to make larger, more significant and more meaningful philanthropic contributions to our community.

The mission of the Trust is accomplished through charitable support that is in keeping with the ideals and principles of Rotary International as well as improving the quality of life within the communities it serves. The Trust allows one to express appreciation for the fellowship and the opportunity to serve that Rotary has offered and gives one the comfort of knowing that donations made by the Trust are decided upon by a group of peer Rotarians who share a common vision for society.

MacLeod Society

The MacLeod Society, named in honor of the Club’s charter president, Dr. Norman M. MacLeod, was established to recognize those who have made a significant financial contribution to the Newport Rotary Charitable Foundation (the “Trust”).  Those giving at this level know that their generosity enables the Newport Rotary Club to make a substantial commitment to local and international projects and initiatives over the long term.  The following have pledged to attain the levels of Associate, Member, Benefactor or Steward within ten years:
